Photovoice is a participatory action research method that empowers youth to express their experiences and perspectives through photography, encouraging social change and community engagement. Our zero-tolerance policy against discrimination ensures that all students—regardless of religion, gender, race, or disability—are welcomed and supported. In addition to art instruction, we offer mentorship and life skills workshops to help participants navigate challenges and make informed decisions about their futures. We collaborate with local organizations to create a comprehensive support network that empowers youth and enlightens our community. We are dedicated to nurturing a brighter future for the young individuals we serve.

The POWER program (Providing Opportunities for Women Entering Relocation) was developed through lived experience and the pilot of a rapid-relocation program that was in operation in 2023. The non-profit organization Adornare Grazia (Adorned with Grace) will be staffed with individuals who have lived experience with domestic violence. The program construct includes a safety plan, checklist, and family contract that is strength-based and was used successfully in other programs. It empowers survivors to have an overcomer mentality while learning how to navigate this new phase in their lives.

The roadmap is a powerful tool designed to inspire and empower women and youth affected by violence, guiding them toward a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity. Providing a structured framework helps individuals easily access essential resources like healthcare and legal aid, alleviating the confusion that often accompanies recovery. At the heart of this journey is cultivating mentorship programs that connect participants with role models who share similar experiences, creating a strong sense of community and support. As they embark on this transformative path, life skills training becomes a cornerstone, equipping them with vital tools such as financial literacy and effective communication, which boost their confidence and decision-making abilities. Additionally, the roadmap paves the way for entrepreneurship initiatives, empowering individuals to turn their ideas into viable businesses and achieve economic independence. With clear steps for monitoring progress and an emphasis on community engagement, this roadmap charts a course for individual growth and inspires collective strength.
